What is the Co-Op?
Our co-op is designed to support homeschooling families by creating a place where students can learn, explore, and build lasting friendships in a fun, engaging environment. Rather than teaching subjects in isolation, each unit is built around an exciting theme that naturally weaves together language arts, history, science, art, geography, and hands-on projects. Students collaborate with their peers through discussions, creative activities, research, presentations, and interactive lessons that encourage curiosity and critical thinking. Every day brings new opportunities to ask questions, solve problems, and discover something new, making learning both meaningful and memorable.

Can you solve the mystery?
This semester students become investigators, historians, researchers, and detectives as they uncover some of history's greatest unsolved mysteries.
From missing treasures and mysterious disappearances to lost civilizations and unexplained events, students will sharpen their research, writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills while searching for answers.
Inspired by Gather Round's Unsolved Mysteries unit, this theme encourages curiosity, thoughtful investigation, and a love of learning through real-world questions and historical mysteries.

Do I have to join the co-op to take classes?
No! Many of our enrichment classes are open to all homeschool families. You can register for individual classes without joining the co-op.
What does the co-op include?
Our co-op offers a themed academic experience that combines language arts, history, science, art, geography, projects, and enrichment activities into one engaging program. Families continue math instruction at home.
Is this a drop-off program?
Yes! Parents are welcome to enjoy a few hours to themselves while students participate in a safe, engaging learning environment.
4. Who teaches Co-op?
Our co-op is led by Katelin Yandow, an experienced homeschool educator who is passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences for students of all ages. Katelin designs each themed unit to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration while making learning both meaningful and fun. She strives to create a welcoming classroom where every child feels supported, challenged, and excited to learn each week.
How to Register
How to Register Using Step Up
Signing up for classes at The Homeschool Hut is quick and easy through Step Up. Follow the steps below to secure your child’s spot. Class sizes are limited, so we recommend registering early.
Choose Your Class
Browse our current schedule and pick the class(es) you’d like to enroll in. Make note of the class name, day, and time before heading to Step Up.
Purchase Through
Step Up
Log into your Step Up account and complete your class purchase through your provider portal. This confirms your payment and begins the enrollment process.
Add the Class Name in NOTES
When completing your purchase, write the exact class name in the NOTES section (example: Beyond the Swamp: Butterflies).
This helps us match your payment to the correct class and secure your child’s seat faster.
